Deputy Manager

Job Description

£15.30 - £18.61/hr, £29,836 - £38,702 pa; 37.5 - 40.0 hrs/wk, Monday to Friday

We are looking to recruit an experienced deputy manager who is looking for a new challenge and potential career progression. Applicants must have highly effective communication and managerial skills and be able to work autonomously and competently to meet targets. They must have experience working in a leadership role and have in-depth knowledge and understanding of Ofsted requirements and EYFS principles and practices. Good knowledge of child protection, Health & Safety issues and all current legislation is essential.

Applicants should naturally be calm, personable, confident and helpful with all matters regarding the team and the running of the setting.

The Deputy Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the nursery, alongside the Nursery Manager and have full responsibility in their absence. Duties include admissions, staff development, recruitment, HR, funding administration and invoicing. We strive to review and reflect on the whole nursery provision on an ongoing basis (this includes staff performance, practice, resources, environment, parent partnerships etc.). The Deputy Manager will liaise with professional agencies when required and have responsibility for the nursery premises and upholding Health and Safety Standards.

Nursery Practitioner

Job Description

£12.78 - £14.19/hr, £24,930 - £31,362 pa; 37.5 - 42.5 hrs/wk, Monday to Friday

We are looking to recruit an experienced practitioner who is looking for a new challenge and potential career progression. The successful candidate will be able to support the room leader by creating a stimulating and exciting environment in your room alongside offering high quality care to the children. You must be able to demonstrate good organisational skills; a sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS); a creative and imaginative approach; and excellent customer service skills.

Duties will include ensuring the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment; plan, prepare and review the curriculum as a team member reflective of the EYFS; work in partnership with parents; follow and implement all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery.

Qualification requirement:

NVQ in Childcare Level 2 or above desirable

Trainee Nursery Practitioner

Job Description

£8.33 - £13.09/hr; 32.5 hrs/wk, Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for Trainees at our Hove and Brighton Nurseries. We are looking for applicants who have a genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development and who will be able to demonstrate a desire to learn and develop their own skills. You will be given high levels of support by our skilled nominated training provider including one-to-one training and mentoring.
