Outstanding Ofsted

Young Sussex Dyke Road has had it's most recent Ofsted Inspection Report published (September 2007) and the results are truly Outstanding. We are pleased to officially be one of the best nurseries in the country.

Quality of Childcare is graded in five different areas:

●  Helping children to be healthy
●  Protecting children from harm or neglect and helping them stay safe
●  Helping children achieve well and enjoy what they do
●  Helping children make a positive contribution
●  Organisation

The provision in each area is given one of 4 grades:

Outstanding - this aspect of the provision is of exceptionally high quality
Good - this aspect of the provision is strong
Satisfactory - this aspect of the provision is sound
Inadequate - this aspect of the provision is not good enough

For all 5 areas of care, Young Sussex was awarded Outstanding.

Receiving only three out of five would have given us an average grade of Outstanding which places us in the top 2.7% in England*. Receiving all five puts us at the top of the group.
